Optimized Dimensions for Your Content
We provide two highly versatile booklet sizes to match your specific distribution strategy:
- 8.5" x 11" (Letter Size): The industry standard for corporate and retail applications. This expansive size is ideal for comprehensive product catalogs, annual reports, B2B presentation materials, and instructional manuals. It provides ample room for large, high-resolution imagery and multi-column text layouts.
- 5.5" x 8.5" (Half Page): A compact, highly portable format that fits perfectly in a small bag or folder. This size is historically favored for event programs, church directories, employee handbooks, and zines. It delivers a premium reading experience without the bulk of a full-size catalog.
Understanding Page Counts and Saddle Stitching
Our booklets are constructed using Saddle Stitching, a highly durable and cost-effective binding method where folded sheets of paper are nested together and stapled through the center fold (the "saddle").
Because of how paper is folded, booklet page counts must always be in multiples of four. A single sheet of paper folded in half creates four readable pages (front cover, inside front, inside back, back cover). We offer standard configurations of 8, 12, or 16 pages (inclusive of the cover) to perfectly accommodate your content. Every page is printed in vibrant, full-color ink with a premium gloss finish to maximize visual impact.
How to Prepare Your Files
To ensure your booklets print and fold exactly as expected, please follow these guidelines:
- File Format: A multi-page PDF is strictly required for booklets.
- Page Setup: Ensure pages are set up as individual, sequential single pages (not reader spreads). Our system will arrange them automatically for printing.
- Page Count: Your file must have exactly the number of pages you select (8, 12, or 16), including the front and back cover.
- Resolution: Ensure all embedded images are at least 300 DPI for crisp printing.
- Bleed: Add a 0.125" bleed to all edges if your color background extends to the paper edge.
Turnaround & Pickup
Due to the folding and binding required, booklets have a standard production time of 2-3 business days after artwork approval.
Local pickup is available at our Plano, TX location. We also offer fast shipping directly from our facility if you need them delivered to an office or event space.
